VMP E32: A True Eddie Murphy-Off!
We're back, and this time-- we're back looking for the Cochise Cowboys! The three of us cowboyz converge once again to discuss the latest and greatest movie stuffs! We're pitting two very diverse and different types of westerns this week and debating which is better. Find out what we pick-- its Kurt Russell's Tombstone vs Brad Pitt's The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford!
We begin by catching up with what we've been watching for the past week (now known as, 'Josh watches what was talked about the week prior') and follow up by discussing the Beekly 3! We kick off this wild segment as we aim for redemption after last week, with a discussion about the latest rumblings of a possible return to The Matrix. Who is down for a return trip to the digital landscape? Next up, Hunter discusses the latest rating of the Baywatch film with the rest of the gang. Does an R rating make you any more interested? Finally, Josh discusses the latest news from Netflix HQ and their new and 'improved' rating system. WHAT ABOUT MY ALGOS?
Finally, we quickly get down to brass shells to discuss this week's movies. We compare two westerns that are both iconic AND historically accurate when we debate whether Kurt Russell or Brad Pitt was the more believable cowboy in Tombstone or The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Which film will win in the battle of the quick draw? This is the most divided versus segment yet-- Stay tuned to find out who wins!
As always, you can leave a comment below to let us know what your thoughts are on this discussion or email us at Versusmoviepodcast@gmail.com. We plan to return next week with-- you guessed it-- yet, another banger of an episode. Next week, we ironically pit funny man Eddie Murphy against himself when we talk Coming to America vs Beverly Hills Cop!
