VMP E15: Collateral vs Heat

Versus E015 Header.jpg

Welcome back to another fun-filled and banter-tastic episode of Versus! This week, we are taking on two monumental Michael Mann films and throwing them head to head!  That's right, this week, we're pitting Collateral vs Heat! After the stellar first performance of last week's guest host, Zane Simon, he joins us again this week!

We open up the episode by discussing what we've been watching this week and follow up by discussing the Beekly 3 (4).  We kick off the news with the latest news of the casting of Bryan Cranston as Zordon.  Next, we get into Rogue One news, specifically the confirmed appearance by one the all-time favorite Star Wars bad-asses.  Zane brings to the table the news of Anton Yelchin's tragic passing and we all metaphorically pour one out for our favorite Checkov.  And finally, Josh lets the crew know of the upcoming Roland Emerich disaster flick, Moonfall. The guys follow up with a discussion as to whether or not disaster movies are still relevant today.

For this week's versus segment, we take a glimpse into the filmography of Michael Mann, as we compare two of his most beloved movies. That's right, we pit Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise against Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino when we discuss  Collateral vs Heat! We get into some hotly discussed talking points in a segment that you won't want to miss!

As always, you can leave a comment below to let us know what your thoughts are on this discussion or email us at Versusmoviepodcast@gmail.com.  Stay tuned for next week’s episode where we lock the doors and turn all the lights on! Will Alien be a better film than The Thing? Join us next week to find out!
